M&A activity in the pharmaceutical industry has increased by 31% in 2025, reaching $179.6 billion year-to-date, compared to $137.1 billion in 2024. The rise is attributed to large deals and bidding wars as big pharma seeks to replenish pipelines ahead of patent cliffs.
